Favorite Looks from New York Fashion Week S/S 2014

Fashion week for Spring/Summer 2014 are over. The last fashion week are Paris Fashion Week which ended on October 2nd, 2013. Until now, I'm still drowning in the euphoria of the biggest fashion event in the world. Fashion week was held in four cities known as "The Four". The Four are cities with major influence on international fashion trends. They are New York, London, Milan, and Paris. Designers' masterpiece were worn by enchanting yet talented models as they walk on the resplendent runway with the coverage from various world leading media.

Would be the greatest dream of mine to attend the fashion week. As for now, I'm quite pleased watching it from television and youtube. Can you believe that during watching the fashion week I keep "ooh"-ing and "ah"-ing? Yes, I'm hypnotized by the gorgeous collections. Here I want to share my favorite looks from New York Fashion Week S/S 2014, take a look :)

1. Rebecca Minkoff

Major love for the yellow crocheted midi skirt paired with a jersey. I find myself adore the sporty mesh panels mixed with a dress. Not too sporty, not too feminine. And also the simple white dress with floral embroidery is enchanting for me. Oh yeah, the high gladiator sandals steal my heart too. This collection will be perfect to wear during Spring and Summer. The floral pattern gives such a spring aura and the see-through material will makes you move freely and breath easier.

2. Hervé Léger

Well, Hervé Léger always have the dazzling bodycon collection and every time I see their collection, I can't deny that I want all of them in my closet. The S/S 2014 collection impressed me more and more. Look at the zipper details in their collection! Zipper on dress, zipper on bodysuit, zipper on bustier, zipper on structured corset belt. The way the bodycon show the model's silhouette is my favorite. I love them, really. Definitely will give a sophisticated yet seductive look to the people who wear Max Azria's collection.

3. Mara Hoffman

Somewhere over the rainbow way up high... Mara Hoffman's S/S 2014 collection truly reminds me of a rainbow. Just look at the bodysuit in rainbow color. Through this collection, I thought the bright colors and unique patterns exudes the spirit of spring and summer perfectly. The unique eye patterns midi dress in flowing chiffon material are also my favorite! The color of the dress makes it more special and I fancy both of them. Moreover, combination of a plain white shirt and shorts or trousers in colorful abstract pattern won my heart since the first sight. Such a perfect combo!

4. DKNY

DKNY is celebrating 25th anniversary in fashion world (#DKNY25) when the S/S 2014 collection launched in New York Fashion Week. Happy birthday, DKNY!
In this collection, DKNY brings out the greatest collection of DKNY ever with a new twist, such as DKNY logos printed all over the apparels from head to toe. The logos' size ranging from small to large size. Awesome isn't it? There are many others that makes us drool. Vintage badges on denim jacket and denim pants, pastel color crop top and pants, also the simple yet elegant little black dress. I'm loving the white-on-white look as well. The gorgeous Karlie Kloss in a red satin gown and wedge sneakers and Rita Ora, the face of DKNY, took the runway at final turn that ended the show perfectly.

5. Diane Von Furstenberg

My number one favorite look from DVF S/S 2014 collection is the blue halter neck top with landscape print maxi skirt. As you can see, the skirt have a savanna print landscape complete with a group of zebras in the savanna. Some monochromatic looks also shown in a sweet flared dress. To close the show, the supermodel Naomi Campbell walks the runway confidently in a black and gold embroidered dress. What an epic finale!

6. Tommy Hilfiger

Beach in New York city brought to you by Tommy Hilfiger while presenting the S/S 2014 ready-to-wear collection. By beach, I mean, you can find the model walk on a path that surrounded by sand beaches. The uniqueness didn't stop there. Their collection is the true uniqueness. The S/S 2014 collection is a tribute to scuba, skate, and surf cultures in California. That's why you can see some of Tommy Hilfiger signature masterpiece, such as classic polo dress in brightly colored leather material. The scuba material, the waist cutout swimsuit, the floral details, and the uses of mix-bright colors gives a new vibrant to a whole new modern-classic look.

7. Tory Burch

When I saw this collection, I automatically imagine of a girl next door who loves gardening. The colors of Tory Burch's S/S 2014 collection varied from green, brownish orange, white, cream / nude, which all can be seen in a garden. Even they also paired a floral patterned shirt and pants in satin material which make it look feminine and elegant at the same time. Deeply in love with the alluring S/S 2014 collection of Tory Burch!

8. Michael Kors

For me, one word to describe Michael Kors S/S 2014 collection is 'romantic'. As you can see, there are midi flared dress in floral print and also midi dress with beads details on it. It's a perfect look to wear on a first date. The vintage vibe goes on in this collection characterized by the presence of a floral print crop bustier and high waist midi pencil skirt. Both of them can make you look fabulous at office. Thumbs up for this collection. I want them right now in front of me in the blink of an eye.

9. Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren's S/S 2014 collection dominated by monochromatic colors to neon pop colors. Almost all of the collection came in black and white, such as black peplum shirt with white collar, black and white floral trench coat, black and white floral tie, white dress, and white skirt. And almost every monochromatic look accompanied by knee-high socks and black-patent leather mary janes. But somehow, Ralph Lauren give a mixture of colors into the collection. Neon colors finally brighten up the show, like lime green, yellow, orange, neon green, and chili red. The cape red dress stole my attention the most.

10. 3.1 Phillip Lim

Phillip Lim's collection inspired by the earth and its elements. My favorite selection from this collection is made of organza materials which is topped of beautiful embroidered wavy. One of the embroidery color is blue color, as blue as the water. The combination of white and blue are so enticing which make me more and more in love.

That's my favorite looks from 10 designers in New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014. From what I saw, the trends didn't change much. As you can see mesh panel, see-through, and denim materials still favored by the designers. Floral, abstract, and geometric prints also pop up in almost every runway. As well as monochromatic colors and neon colors which still be trending the next spring and summer. But the designer's masterpiece which creates fashion trend throughout the world are really mesmerizing and admirable.

So, tell me, which one is your favorite? :)
